The President's Message for 1975:

The Institution, in with a great many, comparable bodies, is through a difficult period: membership is not expanding, attendance at meetings is often disappointing, and some traditional events, like the Annual Dinner, are not getting adequate support. An atmosphere of inertia is detectable. I hope all members will agree that this atmosphere must be dispelled, and will be prepared to do something positive to dispel it.

Can I set a target for 1976? It is that, each and everyone of us should seek to enrol at least one new member during the year. This is. vitally important if is to continue as a vigorous organisation.

I hope the New Year will be successful for you all.

A.J. POWELL
