Crewe Heritage Centre  Thursday 8th August 2024

A private visit to Crewe Heritage Centre  with a selection of rolling stock including the only surviving InterCity APT-P, HST power cars, classes 03, 87, 90 & 91 locomotives a Manchester T-68 tram and a number of signal boxes and railway exhibitions.

Admission to Crewe Heritage Centre is £8.00 or £6.00 for those 60 and over.  Please pay on the day.

Rail Tickets for those without an Educational Free Pass or ‘Priv’ Facilities

The cheapest ticket from London to Crewe for the outward journey at the time of writing (early June) is an Advance Single for £38.50 or £28.50 with a valid railcard.  If you want to save money, but with a longer travel time, the 08.46 West Midlands Trains service to Crewe, arriving at 10.54 is only £10.50 for an Advance Single or just £6.90 with a valid railcard.

For the return journey, travelling on the 14.32 from  Crewe, an Advance Single is or £24.00 or £15.80 with a valid railcard.  Cheaper still is the 15.13 West Midlands Trains service, arriving at 17.24, which is £10.50 for an Advance Single without a railcard and £6.90 with a railcard.

Note that Advance Single tickets are only valid on the booked trains.  Advance Single tickets are quota-controlled and the prices will go up as it each ‘tier’ of tickets at a price point is sold for a train, so early booking is strongly recommended.  

Book at Avanti West Coast or any National Rail website.  DO NOT use thetrainline or other similar third party sites as you will pay more as these sites charge fees which National Rail Train Operator websites and some third party websites do not charge.
